Crafts at The Cowpie Blues Festival
Beginning nine years ago with a handful of artisans—The Cowpie Blues Festival now boasts a crafts area that includes the diverse works of more than 50 regionally acclaimed artists all conveniently located on top of the hill in the concert area. You can shop or browse original paintings, photographs, leather goods, pottery, sculpture, clothing, jewelry, musical instruments, and an array of handcrafted artworks.

Food and Beverages at The Cowpie Blues Festival We pay strict attention to the foods that are served at The Cowpie. From BBQ to Pizza to fresh Jerky, the array of choices extends beyond most festivals. It’s not just carnival food! Wood Fired Pizza’s, The best BBQ we’ve found, Gumbo, organic farm fresh beef, complete chicken dinners and all sorts of other delicacies fill our food vendor area. Add to that wines from Cascade Winery and a number of beer products and soft drinks and there’s something for everyone. We take great pride in keeping our pricing as low as we can so even premium beers are only $3 per 16 oz glass. You can also indulge your sweet tooth with cookies, banana bread, pies, ice cream, and cakes.

GUIDELINES
Vending is open to anyone that may want to join us at The Cowpie Blues Festival. We do limit the number of vendors that sell similar products, usually it's first come, first serve. Vendors do need prior approval from The Cowpie Blues Festival and must follow all vendor guidelines listed below.

In order to assure that all vendors are in compliance with State and County regulations please review the following guidelines:

All vendors are required to pre-register with The Cowpie Blues Festival to reserve their vending area. Pre-registration can be done by phone only by calling (616) 293-2675. All vendors and products are to be pre-approved by The Cowpie Blues Festival.

Vendors are allowed a limited number of Cowpie entry passes and free camping per our vendor agreement. All vendors must submit a name list for festival entry prior to the event. Names not on the list will be charged admission to the festival and will not receive refunds.

All food vendors must be set up and ready for Kent County Health inspection at the Cowpie Blues Festival grounds by 12 noon on Friday, August 13th, 2010. Failure to do so may mean that you may not be able to vend during the festival.

All vendors will be assigned a vending location based upon product and time of arrival at The Cowpie Blues Festival.

All vendors who require electricity must bring at least 100 feet of outdoor extension cord for the electric hook-up. The Cowpie Blues Festival does not have extension cord and will not supply any!

Vendor fees are $75.00 for a 10 foot by 10 foot vending area for Craft vendors, $100 for food vendors. The Cowpie Blues Festival does not supply any structure, signage or displays. Vendors are responsible for all components of their booth.

Vendors need to supply their own lighting for their vending area. Remember the festival runs until 12 midnight on both days. We do have area lights for the crowds but these lights will not be sufficient to light your booth.

Vendors must have the ability to secure their booth overnight. We will provide general security but will not be held responsible for booth security on the festival site.

Vendors must be present on the festival site to man their booth on both Friday, August 13th and Saturday, August 14th, 2010.

All food vendors must have a valid Kent County Health Department Food Vendors License Application Receipt. You will be inspected by The Kent County Health Department at the festival site and will receive your license upon their on-site approval. Kent County Health Department Inspections will begin at 12 noon on Friday, August 13th, 2010.

In consideration of the price paid for vending, The Michigan Heritage Music Association and The Cowpie Blues Festival grants to the holder a revocable license to vend at the 9th annual Cowpie Blues Festival. Licensee agrees to abide by all rules governing festival vending and attendance and acknowledges that the license granted hereby may be revoked without refund for violation of said rules. Vending and scheduled festival events will proceed regardless of weather conditions. Accordingly, The Michigan Heritage Music Association or The Cowpie Blues Festival makes no warranties or representations regarding vendor sales at The Cowpie Blues Festival and shall issue no refunds on account of sales, vending location and inclement weather.
